Level Green Elementary School is the recipient of a new Merry Go Round for its playground, which was made possible by the Friends of Penn Trafford Area Recreation Commission. The group, a 501c3 non-profit PA corporation, provides funding for community organizations including Penn Trafford Area Recreation Commission, recreational programs and activities, and community development projects.
In 2019, Friends pledged $3,500 to purchase the equipment. The unit, called a 10-spin, is an all-inclusive Merry Go Round, and it was installed in August 2021. Students have been enjoying this new piece of equipment and will do so for many years to come.
