The 2nd graders at Level Green Elementary School are enjoying a lesson on ants - complete with a real, live army of ants in their classroom.
After setting up four farms with harvester ants, the students began feeding and watering the ants. They will observe and keep journals on the ants for five weeks. The unit will include the ant life cycle, parts of an ant, writing, and sketching their farms.
