Mrs. Barbara Feathers raised over $600 on the DonorsChoose crowdfunding platform to refresh her classroom at Level Green Elementary School.
Feathers wanted her classroom to be a warm and welcoming space to help her students learn, and was able to purchase lamps, an area rug, and soft stools. “Students sometimes spend more time at school than home, and I wanted to create a comfortable environment in which they can learn,” said Feathers. “As I unboxed the materials, one of my students said, ‘Mrs. Feathers, your room makes me want to learn.’ Just that one student made this all worth it to me.”
