Welcome, Dr. Nix!

With the pending retirement of Assistant Superintendent Scott Inglese, the Penn-Trafford School District officially welcomed Dr. Tiffany Nix to the staff on Monday, February 12, 2024.

Nix, who spent eight years as the Superintendent at Leechburg School District, was hired at Penn-Trafford’s December 20th board meeting but remained at her former district until its’ interim Superintendent took the helm.

Prior to Leechburg, Nix held positions as a school social worker, guidance counselor, assistant high school principal, and high school principal.

“I look forward to working with Dr. Nix,” commented Superintendent Dr. Matthew Harris. “She brings a lot of experience and ideas to Penn-Trafford and will continue to make our district grow stronger.”

Mr. Inglese, a 1985 graduate of the district, has been employed at Penn-Trafford for twenty-six years serving as a teacher and the High School Principal before holding the Assistant Superintendant position for the last ten years.  He and Nix are overlapping the role for approximately two weeks before he officially enters retirement.

“I am very fortunate to have worked with Mr. Inglese during my seventeen years at Penn-Trafford,” stated Superintendent Harris.  “Scott took his job seriously, as he wanted the best for the students he served in the community that he calls home.”
