Students Enjoy Testing New Foods

An initiative by Aramark Food Services has students in the Penn-Trafford School District testing some foods you might not usually see in a school cafeteria.  Corn and black bean salsa was a student favorite in February.

Terry Chavara, food service manager for the district’s cafeterias, introduced the taste-testing events to promote nutrition and also test new menu items.

Chavara plans to hold the “Tasting Tuesday” once per month, rotating through all seven of the district’s schools.
